unattended in the State.

He called up on everyone to take part in developing State.

On the occasion of Navya Andhra Pradesh Nava Nirmana Deeksha, a huge meeting was held at Raj Vihar Centre here on Thursday.

He said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is striving relentlessly for the development of the State. “After bifurcation we are left with no capital. Everyone should join their hands in building up a new capital at Amaravati, “he urged.

The Deputy Chief Minister said in 1956 after the formation of Andhra Pradesh from Madras Presidency, Kurnool was made as its capital.

Later, the capital was shifted to Hyderabad and since then Andhra had had become capital less State.
“A sum of Rs16,000 crore was shown as deficit during the bifurcation of the State. In spite of that the Chief Minister is continuing with development activities,” he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister said efforts were being made to transform the State into top class State in the country in 2022. He also exuded confidence that Amaravati would achieve global recognition by 2050.

District Collector Challa Vijay Mohan said urged the people to conserve water in order to drive drought from the State.

Zilla Parishad Chairman M Raja Sekhar, Kurnool MLA S V Mohan Reddy, NGO president Vengal Reddy, Joint Collector Hari Kiran, Kodmur MLA Mani Gandhi were also
present on the occasion.
