The Andhra Pradesh government has given green signal to the transfer of employees in various departments till June 20. According to sources, the proposal of transfer has been given a nod by the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and a notification regarding this is expected late on Friday or Saturday.

​Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has given green signal to the transfer of employees in various departments till June 20. According to sources, the proposal of transfer has been given a nod by the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and a notification regarding this is expected late on Friday or Saturday.

Accordingly, 20 per cent of employees of each department are expected to be transferred as most of them have completed three years in office. The transfer would be based on merit. Best performers would be posted in key positions or they would be taken into jobs which require high level excellence.

Those who have completed five years in their current position would also be transferred as part of this move. However, the State government has exempted the Agriculture Department from the purview of transfer following the onset of monsoon and the upcoming Kharif season. Sources further added that the government wanted to complete the exercise of transfer before June.
