Eluru: West Godavari Second Additional District Judge K Sai Rama Devi called upon the people to utilise Lok Adalats to get quicker
justice in the pending court cases.

She inaugurated National Lok Adalat at District Court Complex here on Saturday. The judge said that Lok Adalats were being conducted to
give equal justice to all. Referring to road accidents, she opined that a special seminar should be conducted to create awareness among
college students to control the accident rate.

Family Court Judge and Seventh Additional District Judge P Ramadevi suggested for settling of the family related cases in the Lok Adalat.
She said the family disputes should be settled in the family courts through counseling.

District Legal Services Authority secretary A Narasimha Murthy suggested the motorcyclists and vehicle drivers to take precautionary
steps to avoid accidents. He expressed concern over the rise in the accidents, particularly by students driving while attending mobile call.
He wanted special seminars in colleges to create awareness on not using the mobile while driving.

Five benches heard cases referred to Lok Adalat. Judges K Sai Ramadevi, Eighth Additional Judge S Sridevi, Additional Senior Civil Judge
L Sridhar and Second Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate K Prasthanti conducted the Lok Adalat on various benches.

Eluru Mobile Court Magistrate Sheikh Abdul Sheriff, Excise Magistrate P Tirumala Rao and Eluru Bar Association president Abbineni
Vijayakumar participated in the Lok Adalat.
