Defected MLAs want Jagan to back AP CM
The legislators, Jyothula Nehru, Bhuma Nagi Reddy and P Davidraj, on Monday dashed out an open letter finding fault with their former leader for not moving out of Lotus Pond in Hyderabad even after two years of bifurcation. They blamed Jagan for staying away from the residuary State for two years and causing problems to the government in developing the State.
Vijayawada: The three defected legislators from the YSRCP have asked Jaganmohan Reddy to support Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in building the State.
The legislators, Jyothula Nehru, Bhuma Nagi Reddy and P Davidraj, on Monday dashed out an open letter finding fault with their former leader for not moving out of Lotus Pond in Hyderabad even after two years of bifurcation.
They blamed Jagan for staying away from the residuary State for two years and causing problems to the government in developing the State.
The State was bifurcated without a capital and with a revenue deficit. As responsible Leader of Opposition, you did nothing to rebuild the State. Instead, you have been creating problems to the Chief Minister who is working to rebuild the State,” the legislators said in their letter.
The legislators, while claiming that they have tried to correct him, regretted that Jagan had launched a campaign against the capital and Pattiseema. They said that Jagan had instigated some of the party leaders to file cases against the government in the land pooling for the capital.
Similarly, the leader had also provoked the farmers of Godavari district against the prestigious Pattiseema project, the legislators alleged. They took strong exception to Jagan’s opposition to the land acquisition for the Bhogapuram airport, Machilipatnam sea port and Polavaram project.
While welcoming Jagan to hold his party meeting for the first time in the new capital, the legislators sought to advise the leader to change his attitude and act as the true Opposition leader, contributing to the development of the State.
“Even after two years, it is a welcome decision to move out of the Lotus Pond and be part of the new State. At least now, play a constructive role and back the developmental activities of the Chief Minister,” the legislators said in their open letter.
