Hyderabad: Migration of MLAs from the YSRCP to TDP continues unabated. The latest MLA to join the yellow brigade would be N Amarnath Reddy, who represents the Palamener Assembly constituency in Chittoor district.

Amarnath Reddy said on Wednesday that he would be joining the TDP on Thursday in the presence of party national president N Chandrababu Naidu.

In fact, this will be home coming for Amarnath Reddy as he has been in the party for a very long time before he switched over to the YSRCP in December 2012 alleging that the TDP was adopting anti-people policies.

Speculations of Amarnath Reddy joining the TDP has been in the air for long. Reddy also did not attend the extended meeting of the YSRCP executive held at Vijayawada on Tuesday.

He was also a front runner for the post of chairman of the Public Accounts Committee along with Jyothula Nehru. But the YSRCP president chose B Rajendranath Reddy for the post of PAC chairman.

Upset over this development, Jyothula Nehru had quit the party some time back and now Amarnath Reddy also decided to follow the same path. So far, 19 YSRCP MLAs had switched their loyalties to TDP and it would now go up to 20 with Amarnath Reddy coming into the TDP fold.
