‘Devineni failed to release water to Krishna delta’
YSRCP State official spokesperson Jogi Ramesh has lashed out at Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao alleging that the Minister had failed to release water to the Krishna delta region for this Kharif season.
Vijayawada: YSRCP State official spokesperson Jogi Ramesh has lashed out at Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao alleging that the Minister had failed to release water to the Krishna delta region for this Kharif season.
Ramesh said even though a few days were left in the month of June, there was no sign of releasing water to Krishna delta. Talking to reporters at the YSRCP district office here on Sunday Jogi Ramesh said Devineni Uma had failed to complete the Pulichintala project RR package works and release the water from the project.
He said it was incorrect to allege that Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was creating hurdles for the development of the State and construction of irrigation projects. He alleged that the Telugu Desam government was not able to check the illegal construction of irrigation projects by Telangana Government. The YSRCP leader said Devineni Uma and the CM, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, had involved in the Pattiseema lift irrigation project scam and indulged in the graft to the tune of several crores of rupees.
