Plea to fill up teacher posts in Govt Urdu schools

Tirupati: The Muslim Joint Action Committee (MJAC) urged the government to fill up the vacant Urdu teacher posts of various subjects in the government Urdu schools.

In a press release here on Sunday, the city-based MJAC chairman KN Murtuza said that as per the government information as many as 412 posts were lying vacant in Urdu schools in the 13 districts as on 2013 in which only 110 OC posts of Urdu teachers were filled up so far leaving the remaining sanctioned posts vacant.

A large number of teacher posts remaining vacant affecting the performance of government Urdu schools in which the poor students belonging to the Muslim community are studying, he said.

He sought the government to take steps for filling up all the vacant posts in Urdu schools on a priority basis for the benefit of minority community.

He said any delay in taking up the recruitment for filling up the posts in the government Urdu schools result in the closure of many schools.
