Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, on Monday, called upon the officials, people’s representatives and the people in general to set a  target of constructing 13,000 toilets per week to make all districts of the State, open defecation free (ODF) zones.  

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, on Monday, called upon the officials, people’s representatives and the people in general to set a target of constructing 13,000 toilets per week to make all districts of the State, open defecation free (ODF) zones.

He said the task of the smart villages will be completed with construction of toilets in all villages of the State. The CM conducted a video-conference and addressed the officials and peoples representatives across the State and informed them about the goals of the government.

Naidu recalled the AP was the first State in India to distribute the LED bulbs and installing fibre grid and now other States are following. He appealed to the people’s representatives and officials to make Andhra Pradesh the first State in India to become ODF village by constructing 13,000 toilets every week.

Naidu said that Nellore and West Godavari will be made Open Defecation Free districts very soon and wished that it is replicated all over the State.
