Vijayawada: Students Federation of India (SFI) city secretary P Praveen said that the SFI will conduct ‘Chalo Krishna University’ campaign on July 8 demanding the government to address the problems of the students studying in the colleges affiliated to Krishna University.

He said that Krishna University is plagued by many problems and students are suffering due to negligence of the government. Talking to newsmen at MB Vignana Kendram here on Wednesday Praveen demanded the government immediately fill the posts lying vacant in Krishna University and sanction funds for construction of the university building.

He said that half of the posts in the university are lying vacant for many years. He said the government had allotted 125 acres of land for the university at Rudravaram village, but not allocating funds for construction of buildings.

He said the SFI will take up ‘Chalo Krishna University’ programme on July 8 demanding the government to immediately resolve the pending problems. He said the SFI is demanding for the revaluation of the Cost Management Accounts and Cost Accounts examination papers because 120 students failed in the exam against the 300 students appeared. He said the university is also delaying the announcing the examination results causing severe loss to the graduates.

He said the students could not join PG courses in other universities due to delay in releasing the degree examination results.
