Mud heaps on roadside pose a threat

Vuyyuru (Krishna): People of the town are facing inconvenience due to non-removal of heaps of mud on Thotlavalluru road. Penamaluru MLA Bode Prasad who inspected the area on June 24, directed Municipal Commissioner Kalibabu to remove the heaps of mud on the roadside, which forms the bund of Pulleti canal. But the municipal authorities failed to initiate any measures to remove the mud heaps even a fortnight after the MLA’s inspection.
Mud is slipping into Pulleti canal after getting melted due to recent rains, obstructing its flow.
The melted mud is also flowing onto the road, hindering the movement of vehicular traffic. People are getting scared to use the road at night as snakes are moving freely. A snake was sighted on the road a few days ago and the locals killed it immediately. People of the town demanded that the municipal authorities remove the roadside mud heaps immediately to prevent any untoward incident.
