Foolproof security for Chief Minister’s visit

Kurnool: Security has been tightened in view of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Kurnool district. Rayalaseema Range Deputy Inspector General of Police B V Ramana Kumar and District SP A Ravi Krishna inspected the security arrangements on Sunday.

Ravi Krishna said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would be visiting Kurnool to inspect the Krishna Pushkaralu arrangements at Srisailam and Sangameswaram on Monday.

He said Additional SP T Chandrasekhar Reddy, AR Additional SP Radha Krishna and OSD Ravi Prakash would monitor the bandobast arrangements.

As many as 15 DSPs, 34 CIs, 106 SIs, 236 ASIs and Head Constables, 739 constables, 48 women police, 408 home guards, 11 platoons of AR forces and 44 special party personnel have been deployed on duty, he said.

Searches are being carried out at all places apart from the proposed site of CM’s visit with sniffer dogs and bomb squad teams. CC cameras have been installed at every point as part of tight security, he added.
