3 years RI for six red sanders smugglers

Pulivendula Judicial First Class Magistrate Srinivasulu Naik on Monday awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to red sanders smuggler Fayaz Sharif (40) and six other smugglers belonging to Vempalli with a fine of Rs 10,000 each, Superintendent of Police HD Ramakrishna said on Monday.
Kadapa: Pulivendula Judicial First Class Magistrate Srinivasulu Naik on Monday awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to red sanders smuggler Fayaz Sharif (40) and six other smugglers belonging to Vempalli with a fine of Rs 10,000 each, Superintendent of Police HD Ramakrishna said on Monday.
Hard core smuggler Fayaz belongs to Katiganahalli in Hoskote taluk of Karnataka. He was arrested on October 12 last year. 45 cases were registered against him in Kadapa district and 38 in Chittoor district.
The SP said that the Court Constable K Srinivasula Reddy and other police officials who were instrumental in getting conviction to Fayaz and others would be rewarded.
