Fresh look to traffic islands
The VMC is also developing the big traffic island at the Benz Circle. Similarly, the civic body is planting saplings and small plants on the central dividers on Eluru road and Samba Murthy road, which are developed for two months.
Vijayawada: The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) is developing traffic islands and central dividers on MG Road and other parts of the city for Krishna Pushkaralu.
The traffic island located near the Police Control Room gets a facelift. The officials have demolished the decades old outdated island and are constructing a new circle. The VMC Commissioner, G Veerapandian, on Saturday inspected the works and expressed satisfaction over the new design of the traffic island.
The VMC is also developing the big traffic island at the Benz Circle. Similarly, the civic body is planting saplings and small plants on the central dividers on Eluru road and Samba Murthy road, which are developed for two months.
Hundreds of saplings were planted on the central dividers on Samba Murthy road. The VMC is also trying to plant saplings on the MG Road to give new look to the city for Krishna Pushkaralu. Moghalrajpuram junction, Challapalli Bungalow junction and other junctions are also developed as part of the beautification works in the city.
