Eluru: The Scheduled Castes Corporation had taken up a special drive for the community development of SC youth in the State, according to Corporation Managing Director GSRKR Vijaya Kumar. He was participating in the Yuva Sphurthi Sammelan held at a marriage hall here on Wednesday organised by the SC Corporation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director said that the Yuva Sphurthi Sammelan is being conducted to encourage the youth in the district. He said that through his programme, the SC Corporation would be spreading awareness on community development. He opined that youth should think about the reason behind backwardness through social, cultural and financial aspects. The youth should develop knowledge about the present social situations, he said. He suggested the SC youth to follow the footsteps of Dr B R Ambedkar and added that SCs should literate themselves.
Earlier the Managing Director had garlanded the portrait of Dr B R Ambedkar on his birth anniversary along with the portrait of Dr Babu Rajendra Prasad. SC Corporation Executive Director Jhansi Rani and others participated in the drive.
