King George Hospital (KGH) Dr G Arjuna has decided to open a Fever Clinic to be operated from Friday between 9 am and 12 noon at the
Medicine OP No 15. He convened a high-level meeting here on Thursday with all medical Professors concerned.

It was also decided to increase the present bed strength of five to 10 at the Rajendra Prasad Ward to treat the complicated patients,
allotment of five beds each to male and female patients to ensure best medicare.

District Medical and Health Officer Dr J Sarojini, KGH Deputy Superintendents Dr K Satyavara Prasad and Dr N B Vijaykumar, Professor of
Medicine Dr S Srinivas, CSRMO Dr K S L G Sastry, ARMO Dr B Bangaraiah, Associate Professor of Community Medicine Dr Y Padmasri,
Assistant Professor of Community Medicine Dr S Madhavi, Assistant Professor of Microbiology Dr B Manjula and Epidemiologist Dr
Kalyana Prasad were among those attended the meeting.

It may be recalled here that the district administration has alerted the district medical and health machinery to be alert in treating the
suspected dengue cases and also to take preventive steps to control the spread of diseases.

Collector Praveen Kumar also convened a meeting with all Principals and Head Masters on Wednesday directing them to bring awareness
among children about dengue fever symptoms and to suggest their parents to control mosquito menace in and around their surroundings.

The GVMC and the malaria department also swung into action to fight against the mosquito menace causing the fevers by deploying
teams to educate people about the fevers.
