Lucky escape for 6 as car catches fire
A family of six narrowly escaped unhurt, when the car they were travelling caught on fire near toll plaza on National Highway at Unguturu in West Godavari district on Tuesday.
Eluru: A family of six narrowly escaped unhurt, when the car they were travelling caught on fire near toll plaza on National Highway at Unguturu in West Godavari district on Tuesday.
According to information available, P Satyanarayana Reddy of Anaparthy village in East Godavari district along with his five family members were on the way to Nellore to attend a function on Tuesday. When the Scorpio car AP50AN2095 reached nearer to toll plaza, Satyanarayana observed smoke coming out from the engine.
He stopped the vehicle immediately and all the family members with luggage got down from the car. When Satyanarayana tried to check the problem, suddenly fire broke out from the engine and engulfed the car. The local people informed the fire station at Bhimadole. By the time fire fighters reached the spot, the scorpio was burnt to ashes.
