‘Every household should have individual toilets’
District Collector Ch Vijay Mohan said that the Cluster Resource Persons (CRP) have to educate the people in all the villages in the district on the necessity for individual toilets in every household.
Kurnool: District Collector Ch Vijay Mohan said that the Cluster Resource Persons (CRP) have to educate the people in all the villages in the district on the necessity for individual toilets in every household.
He held a review meeting with the officials concerned on the construction of toilets, on Monday. He asked the officials and CRPs to segregate data village-wise on how villagers had individual toilets and how many did not.
He directed officials to deposit the payment incurred for the construction of the toilets directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries once the construction of the toilets was complete. He also instructed officials to facilitate loans to BCs, SCs, STs and minorities through the departments concerned.
The collector told the officials to take out rallies giving wide publicity on the benefits of using toilets and their impact on society. He asked officials to strive to achieve 100 percent construction of latrines in the villages.
DWMA project director Pulla Reddy and CRPs participated in the review meeting.
