Tirupati: With a series of religious activities including the annual Karthika Brahmotsavams of Goddess Padmavathi Devi of Tiruchanoor, Managudi and Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams, lined up in the next three months, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao directed the officials concerned to gear up for the same. At a review meeting with senior officers of the TTD held on Monday, the EO said the three events were extremely significant after the Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavams and asked them to come up with an action plan to conduct the events in an effective manner.

The EO opined that the arches in Tirumala and Tirupati should be more informative and useful to pilgrims and directed the engineering wing to develop the roads in Tirupati and speed up the beautification works of Avilala tank. He also instructed officials to speed up the repair works of TTD Kalyana Mandapams and said that inverters should be arranged at all the local temples to cope with any contingencies. Reviewing the clearance of foreign currencies in Tirupati Parakamani, the EO directed the officials concerned to take steps to demarcate the currencies on the lines of Tirumala Parakamani.

He told the medical officials to conduct a camp in Kuppam under the aegis of Shankar Netralaya Trust and provide check-ups for the ‘Potu’ and ‘Kalyanakatta’ staff as well. He instructed officials to review the donor management system on a weekly basis to enhance the quality of service to donors.
