‘Identify beneficiaries for NTR Housing Scheme’

Visakhapatnam: Collector Praveen Kumar at a review meeting on NTR Housing Scheme here on Tuesday, asked the officials to identify the beneficiaries before October 20 by consulting with public representatives to upload the data entry by October 25 and to ground the scheme before November 1 so as to complete the project by March next.

Disclosing this at the meeting, he said 10,912 houses were sanctioned in the limits of GVMC under the NTR Housing Scheme, the Collector asked the officials to upload the lists of beneficiaries in the websites of Central government as well as in the housing website. He further asked to prepare the lists of beneficiaries pertaining to the GO Nos. 296 and 118 meant for regularisation of houses built in the government lands below 100 and above 100 yards.

It may be recalled here that the State government has issued the GOs to regularise houses built in the government lands in less than 100 yards only. “Examine the rejected applications once again and to furnish the reasons for rejection in the lists. After preparing the lists of beneficiaries ward-wise, it should be given to the MLAs and to Janmabhoomi Committees, he explained.

As Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be coming on October 26 or 27 to issue house pattas at a function to be held in the city, Praveen Kumar asked to prepare the lists immediately.
