Nellore: Rural police arrested two persons and seized ornaments worth Rs 10.5 lakh from them on Monday. Addressing the media persons at Umesh Chandra Conference Hall here, District Superintendent of Police (SP) Vishal Gunni said Meduru Sunil (23) and Kasthuri Prabhu alias Chinna (23), who hail from Venkateswarapuram, have been robbing houses during nights and fleeing with gold and other ornaments. He said rural police kept an eye on the movements of the accused and nabbed them at Janardhan Reddy Colony.
They seized 297 grams of gold worth Rs 7,42,500 and other ornaments from the accused. Vishal Gunni announced rewards to the police personnel, who cracked the case. Rural DSP Dr K Thirumaleswar Reddy, Rural Circle Inspector O Durga Prasad and other police personnel were present.
