Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of digital India, said Union Minister for Law, Justice and Information Technology P P Choudhary. He was the chief guest at the valedictory function of 20th national conference on e-governance.

Addressing the gathering, the Union Minister said that the Chief Minister has been making use of the latest technology in providing better services to the people and stood as role model for other States in the country.

He said the State has been rendering 725 e-seva services curtailing corruption to the large extent. “This is what the Prime Minister envisioned for the whole of the country,” Choudhary said.

The IT minister said the Prime Minister took the decision to spike high value notes to unearth the black money stashed in the country and it has been giving positive results. “Earlier 86 per cent of the cash was not in circulation and now the money is coming into the banks.

The government is also encouraging for cashless transaction through common services in order to prevent corruption and black money. There is also huge scope for increasing revenue through income tax,” he averred.

Focussing on education and health, Choudhary said the government has been making serious efforts to strengthen these two sectors. “3D animation will be introduced in all schools and colleges to impart high quality education to the students,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, State Minister for IT Palle Raghunadha Reddy said that government was rendering 725 services of 33 departments under e-seva. “We are providing essential commodities to 1.4 crore white ration card holders through e-PoS system, Reddy said.
