MLA Badeti Kota Rama Rao said that the Eluru Krishna Canal bunds would be developed as tourist spots soon. Speaking at the TDP representatives and leaders’ extensive meeting held at Ameenapeta here on Sunday, the MLA said that he was developing the constituency from the time he was elected as MLA. He stated that the TDP is ready to face the elections at any time.

He stated that the TDP is ready to face the elections at any time.

However, he stated that he never looked for elections and served the people even when he was not in power. He added that he aimed at extending all government schemes to the poor people in the constituency. He called on the party workers to concentrate on the welfare of the people and to identify the beneficiaries who did not receive the welfare schemes in the constituency.
He stated that every eligible poor family had been sanctioned pension and if anyone did not receive the pension, they will be enumerated soon. He affirmed that he dared to remove the encroachments for the development of the city which did not take place over decades. He said that soon the road of Pathebada temple’s centre to Ashok Nagar Bridge will be expanded and the roads in Tangellamudi and other areas also will be extended soon.
He said that Rs.762 crores have been sanctioned by the government to develop Eluru as Smart City. He assured the city to expand as Special Township. Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation chairman Pali Prasad, former municipal chairman Uppala Jagadish Babu, deputy mayor Gudiwada Ramchandra Kishore, municipal corporation cooption member SMR Pedababu, former deputy mayor Chode Venkataratnam and others spoke on the occasion. Earlier MLA garlanded the statue of former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao.
