Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee Doctor’s Cell co-chairman Ambati Naga Radhakrishna alleged that the health department was making false claims over the success of Electronic Urban Public Health Centre (eUPHC) scheme. In a press release here on Friday, Radhakrishna said that the state government initiated the scheme to upgrade urban primary health centers into eUPHCs through Public-Private-Partnership model (PPP) enabling access to specialist doctors through telemedicine and diagnostics in the local neighborhood itself.

However, the details of month wise tele-consultancy mentioned in CM Dash Board were false, he alleged. It was stated that the number of outpatients in March, 2016 was 2,17,755, but it dropped to 5,024 by October. Information was not mentioned for the months between May and August, he said. It clearly showed that the entire figures mentioned in the CM’s Dash Board were false. He demanded white paper on the scheme and total expenditure of the scheme.
