City MLA seeks funds for development of ST colonies
City MLA P Anil Kumar Yadav demanded the corporation authorities to get funds under ST sub plan from the government to provide basic amenities to the ST colonies and also for welfare of the tribal population. City MLA along with Deputy Mayor Mukkala Dwarakanath visited Vaikunthapuram and Satyanarayanapuram colonies in fifth division here on Wednesday.
Nellore: City MLA P Anil Kumar Yadav demanded the corporation authorities to get funds under ST sub plan from the government to provide basic amenities to the ST colonies and also for welfare of the tribal population. City MLA along with Deputy Mayor Mukkala Dwarakanath visited Vaikunthapuram and Satyanarayanapuram colonies in fifth division here on Wednesday.
The MLA interacted with local residents and enquired about their problems. Anil demanded the government to allocate land for 39,000 families in the city and rural limits, who have applied for housing. The MLA warned that the YSRCP would stage protest with other political parties if the government fails to provide land for the poor. He also alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been wilfully neglecting the poor without implementing welfare schemes.
