Tirupati: The annual Brahmotsavams in the TTD sub-shrine of Lord Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy in Appalayagunta off to a religious start on Tuesday with the ceremonial Dhwajarohanam fete. Dhwajarohanam marks the beginning of the grand event in all the TTD temples.

The celestial flag with the image of Lord Garuda imprinted on it, was hoisted atop the temple pillar, amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras. Speaking on the occasion, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal said that the annual Brahmotsavams which commenced on June 6 will conclude on June 14 with Garuda Seva on June 10.

“All the devotees are requested to take part in this fete and get the blessings of Lord,” he maintained. Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar said the TTD has made elaborate security arrangements for this fete especially on June 9 for Kalyanotsavam, Garuda Seva on June 10 and Chakrasnanam on June 14. Temple Special Grade Deputy EO Munirathnam Reddy was also present.
