The petition filed by YSRCP President and Leader of Opposition in AP Assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, seeking to quash the criminal case filed against him, was dismissed by Justice Shankar Narayana of the High Court at Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The police had registered a criminal case against the YSRCP leader when he visited the hospital at Nandigama in Krishna district where the dead bodies of the passengers, who died in the ghastly road accident in Krishna district, were kept.

There was a ruckus during the visit of the Opposition Leader to the hospital and at one stage argument with the senior doctors ensued. The police had registered a criminal case against him under various sections.

The YSRCP leader filed the present petition requesting the court to quash this criminal case alleging that it was politically motivated. The judge found no merit and dismissed the petition.
