Srikakulam: Road accidents are alarming particularly on national highways explained new superintendent of police (SP) for Srikakulam, Dr Chittori Machiraju Trivikrama Varma.
After receiving charge from outgoing SP, J. Brahma Reddy Dr. Trivikrama Varma interacted with newsmen. On this occasion he elaborated that NH-16 covered almost 174 km distance in the district where accidents are alarming and will reduce it by paying special attention and creating awareness camps.
The SP explained that he will follow friendly policing policy to prevent all types of crimes across the district.
‘We will give utmost priority to implement welfare activities in agency and rural areas to reduce problems of people’ the SP elaborated.
Later he conducted a meeting with sub-divisional and circle police officers at district police office and collected preliminary information on all issues. Police officers of all cadres greeted the new SP. Trivikrama Varma was transferred from Prakasam district.
