Tirupati: TTD EO AK Singhal complimented the police for launching a fortnight's rigorous search to trace the nine-month-old Chennakesava, the baby boy who was finally reunited with his parents, Venkateswarlu and Nagaratnamma from Anantapur district. He praised the police for their efforts and also the JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju who gave all support to the cops in tracing out the boy.

The police had sent teams to neighbouring states also to trace out the child. "With the help of CCTV footage installed at four mada streets, bus stand etc. the cops could be able to trace the movement of the kidnappers. And the result is a happy ending with the child being reunited with his parents", he added.

Adding further the EO said, at present there are 174 cameras inside temple and in four mada streets. All these will be replaced with latest version cameras soon, he added. Later the EO along with Tirumala JEO presented the prasadam of Lord Venkateswara to Rayalaseema IG Sridhar Rao, DSP Tirumala Muniramaiah, CIs Venkataravi and Ramakrishna. VGO Ravindra Reddy and SI Timmaiah were also present.

The police officials met the EO and JEO in the former's camp office in Tirumala and thanked them for their support in tracing out and reuniting the child with his parents. They told the EO that apart from the wide publicity in media and WhatsApp, the pamphlets and posters printed in thousands in different languages in TTD Printing Press also helped them a lot.

In fact, some posters that were pasted on RTC buses en route to Tamil Nadu helped them to trace out the child with the help of locals, the police officials maintained.
