Telugu Desam Party Vijayawada Urban Committee sworn in
Telugu Desam Party Vijayawada Urban committee swearing-in ceremony was held at Tummaplapalli Kala Kshethram in the city on Sunday. MLC Buddha Venkanna has been appointed as the Vijayawada urban president by the party and he took the oath on Sunday amidst his supporters and other leaders.
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam Party Vijayawada Urban committee swearing-in ceremony was held at Tummaplapalli Kala Kshethram in the city on Sunday. MLC Buddha Venkanna has been appointed as the Vijayawada urban president by the party and he took the oath on Sunday amidst his supporters and other leaders.

Kommareddy Pattabhi took charge as the general secretary of the urban party. TDP state president and Minister for Energy Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao administered the oath to two leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Kala Venkata Rao said that his party leadership would choose the candidates who serve the party and work for its development. He said the TDP had identified the services of Venkanna.
Buddha Venkanna joined the party as a worker and organised several service activities and participated agitations particularly for the construction of Durga flyover and took party urban president post, he said. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had referred Buddha Venkanna’s name for the key post, he added.
He further stated that the state government was implementing several development and welfare schemes for the benefit of people. He alleged that the Opposition parties are blaming the Chief Minister for political gains.
Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu selected the best teams to all 13 districts and urban bodies. Devineni exuded confidence that TDP urban president Buddha Venkanna and general secretary Kommareddy Pattabhi would lead the party and guide the cadres to get victory in the next elections in the city.
Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas, MLC and Krishna district TDP president B Arjunudu, MLAs Gadde Rammohan Rao, B Uma Maheswara Rao, Jaleel Khan, Andhra Pradesh Police Housing Corporation chairman Sk Nagul Meera, several party workers participated.
