Tenali Ramakrishna Kavi Kalakshetram inaugurated
Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Anand Babu, MP Murali Mohan inaugurated Tenali Ramakrishna Kavi Kalakshetram Auditorium, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 7.15 crore, at a programme in Tenali on Saturday.
Tenali (Guntur): Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Anand Babu, MP Murali Mohan inaugurated Tenali Ramakrishna Kavi Kalakshetram Auditorium, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 7.15 crore, at a programme in Tenali on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao stressed on need to give auditorium free of cost to encourage the stage artistes. He said he had constructed an auditorium in Narasaraopet town and giving free to encourage the stage artistes. He advised to form a committee for the maintenance of auditorium.
Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa lauded MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad for getting funds and other sanctions from the government for the construction of auditorium.
Later, Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao gave yesteryear actor Gummadi Venkateswara Rao Memorial Award to stage artiste Gumma Radhakrishna to mark 90th birth anniversary of Gummadi Venkateswara Rao. Later, he reminded his association with the later actor.
