Speaking to media at the TDP district unit office here on Thursday, Chinarajappa reiterated that permission for Kapu Yatra would not be accorded unless they applied for it. “Let Mudragada apply for the permission.

We will not only give consent but also provide police protection for the Yatra,” he said. As a senior politician Mudragada should understand the administrative issues for according quota, the Deputy Chief Minister said. Commenting on imposition of Section 30 for months together in East Godavari, he said the law enforcing authorities felt the need and hence we are continuing it.

“If the situation warrants, we will not hesitate to impose Section 144 also,” he said. “The government is in favour of imposing these sections to avert incidents like train and police stations burnings.

We all know what was happened in Tuni,” he said.The Deputy Chief Minister advised youth not to associate with such activities and invite police cases and spoil their future. Commenting on non-implementation of GO 30 in favour of Kapu reservations, Chinarajappa said that due to several technical reasons the same could not be implemented earlier.

Commenting on election strategist Prashanth Kishor for the YSRCP, Chinarajappa said Jagan need such advisors as he is a political novice. “There is no need for such advisors in TDP as Chandrababu Naidu is a shrewd politician,” he said.

On the issue of proposed pada yatra by Jagan, the Home Minister said that he should not forget the court case on Friday. “How Jagan will manage the weekly court cases attendance once he starts the pada yatra,” he asked and said we must wait and watch.

Kakinada City MLA V Venkateswara Rao, Rural MLA P Anantalakshmi, Jaggampeta MLA Jyothula Nehru and TDP Kakinada city unit president Sunkara Tirumala Kumar were present. New district unit president Namana Rambabu was conspicuous by his absence.
