Chinnamilli Gopinath alias Gopi of Gunupudi, Durghasi Srikanth of Balusumudi, Kokkiragadda Raja Jadivya of Rayalam, Chintalapudi Nagendra Venkata Siva Prasad of China Apparaothota of Bhimavaram are old criminals and rowdy-sheeters.

The highway robbery gang roughed up Kella Venkateswara Rao of Maruthi Nagar in Bhimavaram when he was entering his house on motor bike on July 14 midnight and took away Rs 15,500. Later, on the same day, the five miscreants attacked Jalluri Kotilingalu and Ganasala Lakshminarayana of Tokalapalli village at a lodge near RTC Bus stand and decamped with Rs 83,000.

The victims lodged a complaint in Bhimavaram One town police station. The police formed a team and nabbed the gang at Yanamadurru locks.

The CI said that Routhula Raghu and Durghasi Srikanth were rowdy-sheeters. Other three were also accused in various cases, the CI said. The police have seized Rs 78,000 and three mobile phones and two motor cycles from their possession. Accused will be produced in the court, he added.
