YV Subba Reddy, said, “After learning about the pathetic state of Dalits in the Devarapalli, I have complained to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Chairman of National SC Commission Dr Ramsankar Kataria. YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy assured you justice and we will fight against the government in courts of law and see you get the same land.”

Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, said, “When we are preparing to visit the village, the police forcefully taken us into custody. Learning about the authorities digging the tank amid tight security, Jaganmohan Reddy asked us to visit you and assure that we will be with you in the fight for justice.”

The Left parties and Dalit Front leaders staged a protest at Parchuru causing disturbance to the traffic for a while. They burnt the effigy of local MLA Eluri Sambasiva Rao and demanded that the government should handover the land of Dalits to them with no strings attached.
