Arrangements afoot for mass vaccination in East Godavari
The district administration is making arrangements for a mass vaccination programme for Measles and Rubella from August 1 to August 8 in East Godavari district. As a precautionary measure, the district administration is taking up the programme.

Disclosing the details to the media in a press conference held in La Hospin Hotel here on Friday, collector Kartikeya Mishra has said that as many as 12.15 lakh children under the age group of 9 months to 15 years will be benefitted in the district and added that the vaccine helps to protect the children from various deadly diseases.
Of the total, there are 8,15,327 children in rural areas, 3,09,543,09 lakh children in urban areas and one lakh children in agency area, he said. He directed that the vaccine also be administered to the children of anganwadis along with government and private educational institutions.
