‘Take measures to prevent road accidents’

Srikakulam: Take measures to prevent road accidents particularly on the national and state highways, said Minister for Transport and BC Welfare K Atchannaidu.

He reviewed the situation with Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy, joint collector KVN Chakradhara Babu and Superintendent of Police CM Trivikrama Varma at his native village Nimmada in Srikakulam district on Tuesday. The Minister expressed concern over road accidents at all junctions on NH-16 in the district. He directed the officials to identify locations to install CCTV cameras.

The Minister asked the officials to close belt shops in the villages and at the same time maintain strict vigil on dumping of illicit liquor from border areas of Odisha.
