In connection with the Navy Marathon starting from NTR Statue at RK Beach to Cheppaluppada near Bheemili, the city traffic police imposed certain traffic restrictions on Sunday. 

Visakhapatnam: In connection with the Navy Marathon starting from NTR Statue at RK Beach to Cheppaluppada near Bheemili, the city traffic police imposed certain traffic restrictions on Sunday.

According to the city police, around 13,000 runners will be participating in the Navy Marathon and vehicles will not be allowed on the RK Beach to Bheemili Road stretch from 4 am to 11 am on Sunday.

As per ADCP (Traffic) K Mahendra Patrudu, buses heading towards Vizag city from Bheemil will be diverted via Dorathota area on the NH-16 stretch. VIPS coming to participate in the Navy Marathon and to witness the event have to park their vehicles on the services road on the Beach Road from Novotel Hotel to Gokul Park. Naval officers coming to the Beach Road via Collectorate have to park their vehicles (buses and others) at Coastal Battery area.

People coming via Collectorate and Pandimetta Junction to participate in the marathon have to park their vehicles along the service road near Gokul Park. Similarly, participants coming from CR Reddy Junction area have to park their vehicles at Exhibition Ground near AU High School. The traffic police appealed the residents along the Beach Road and others to cooperate with them for smooth conduct of the event.
