Kadapa: The Praja Sankalpa Yatra (PSY) of YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy concluded in Kadapa district on Monday. His yatra lasted in the district for seven days. Jagan launched his 3,000-km PSY at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district on November 6.
Jagan will resume his yatra at Tyagalamarri in Kurnool district on Tuesday. On the last day of his PSY in Kadapa district, Jaganmohan Reddy covered Ikkupalle, Yenkupalle, Zillela, Kanaguduru and Idanamanatha in Mydukuru constituency and entered Tyagalamarri, border village located in Kurnool district. Meanwhile, during his Padayatra in Kadapa district which lasted for one week, Jagan has covered about 125 villages in five constituencies Pulivendula, Jammalamadugu, Proddatur, Mydukuru and Kamalapuram.
He addressed 4 public meetings at Idupulapaya, Yerraguntla, Proddatur and Duvvuru. The YSRCP chief also took part in Ratchabanda programme at Vempalle in his native constituency. Party MPs, MLAs and local leaders and activists accompanied Jagan during the Padayatra.
During his Padayatra, Jaganmohan Reddy tried to draw the attention of the public comparing his father late Rajasekhara Reddy’s rule with the present TDP government’s rule. He said the TDP government failed on all fronts. He also tried to gain the sympathy of the public by stating how his family was targeted by the State and Central governments following his father’s death.
Jaganmohan Reddy criticised the government over its failure in providing MSP to the farmers and inability to complete the pending irrigation projects. He also flayed the government for not providing fee reimbursement facility to students and filling up vacancies to various posts.
Jagan also mentioned about the incomplete works pertaining to Gandikota, Sarvarayasagar and Pothireddypadu head regulator in Kadapa district.
Meanwhile, Jaganmohan Reddy focused more on highlighting government’s failures instead of indulging in personal criticism against the Chief Minister.
