Guntur: First grade librarian Umar Pasha said that there is a need to render better services to the readers visiting the libraries and reminded how libraries played a major role in the freedom movement.
He addressed a meeting held in the Government Regional Library here on Thursday on the occasion of the 50th national libraries week celebrations.
Speaking on this occasion, he urged the staff to extend cooperation for the development of libraries. He recalled how Ayyanki Venkataramanaiah and Pathuri Nagabushanam tried for the development of libraries.
Later, they felicitated those who actively participated in the library movement.
