Minister promises 9 cr to Kallurupalli Housing Board Colony
He informed colony residents that the government had already spent Rs 3.73 crore for various works. He promised to set up a government high school in the colony. The Minister stated that the colony was once hub for thieves and now it was improved with good facilities.
Nellore: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana assured to sanction Rs 9 crore to Kallurupalli Housing Board (KHB) Colony located in the city limits. The Minister visited KHB Colony, Rajiv Swagruha construction site at Kothur and YSR Nagar on Wednesday along with district officials. Narayana inspected the KHB Colony on a bike and gave instructions to officials on improving amenities.
He informed colony residents that the government had already spent Rs 3.73 crore for various works. He promised to set up a government high school in the colony. The Minister stated that the colony was once hub for thieves and now it was improved with good facilities.
Narayana said the government had recently sanctioned Rs 60 lakh for providing drinking water in the colony. He instructed the officials to prepare proposals for laying roads, side drains, water and other basic amenities in colony within one month. The Minister directed the officials to give priority according to density of population in the colonies for improving basic amenities.
He advised In-Charge Collector Imtiaz to consider allocating house sites to the applicants, who belong to poorer sections after due verification. He mentioned Rs 10 lakh would be released through AP Urban Greening and Beautification Corporation for developing a park in the KHB Colony.
Further, he visited Rajiv Swagruha Colony located at Kothur and said the state government will release Rs 2.5 crore for roads, water and drains in the colony. He informed the government had appointed a Managing Director (MD) to monitor pending projects across 13 districts in the State.
The Minister promised to develop YSR Nagar on par with developed localities in the State. Nellore RDO D Haritha, Hospital Development Committee chairman Ch Narasimha Rao and other senior officials were present.
