Two drivers killed in head-on collision

Two drivers were killed when a truck collided head-on with another truck on the national highway at Kothur in Pellakur mandal on Thursday.
Nellore: Two drivers were killed when a truck collided head-on with another truck on the national highway at Kothur in Pellakur mandal on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Armugam (45) of Chennai, who was driving a milk tanker and Babu (35), a driver from Karnataka. According to sources, a milk tanker which was heading towards Nellore from Pellakur collided with a sand laden truck moving towards Tirupati.
The incident took place at Kothur village under the Pellakur Police Station limits. In the accident, Armugam died on the spot and Babu received severe injuries. He was shifted to Naidupet government hospital for treatment where he succumbed to injuries. The police registered a case.
