Hyderabad: The highest day temperature of 38 degrees Celsius was recorded in Kurnool and Nandyal on Thursday even as dry weather prevailed in the coastal and Rayalaseema districts, the Met department bulletin said.

The other day temperatures in the State were: Nandigama, Jangamaheswarapuram, Anantapur, Kadapa 37 each, Bapatla & Vijayawada 36 each, Kakinada, Machilipatnam, Nellore, Ongole, Tuni, Visakhapatnam Airport, Arogyavaram & Tirupati 35 each, Kavali and Narsapur 34 each, Kalingapatnam 33 & Visakhapatnam 32.

According to the bulletin, the night temperatures rose appreciably in coastal Andhra at one or two places. They were appreciably above normal at one or two places. The lowest minimum temperature of 16 degrees was recorded in Arogyavaram.

The other night temperatures in the State were: Anantapur 17, Kalingapatnam 18, Jangamaheswarapuram 18, Bapatla, Visakhapatnam Airport, Kadapa, Nandyal & Tirupati 19 each, Kakinada, Kavali, Machilipatnam,Nandigama,Narsapur, Tuni, Vijayawada & Kurnool 21 each, Visakhapatnam 22, Nellore & Ongole 23 each.
