Chandrababu Naidu assured me ticket in Assembly polls: Ganni Krishna
Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has promised him to give ticket in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Rajamahendravaram: Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has promised him to give ticket in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Participating in a Meet the Press programme held at Press Club here on Wednesday, Ganni Krishna said as a committed worker and senior leader in TDP, he has every right to demand for assembly ticket in the ensuing elections.
The GUDA chairman said he had tried for ticket from Rajamahendravaram Assembly constituency in 1985 and 2005 also but failed due to backstabbing of some local party leaders. But, this time Naidu gave me assurance to allot ticket for the upcoming Assembly elections, he said.
Responding to a question whether he will extend support to MLC Adireddy Appa Rao’s family in the ensuing elections, Ganni Krishna said the victory of the party is very important and added he would work as per the directions of Naidu.
He said the BJP leaders were trying to blame the TDP government to avoid criticism from the people. A massive agitation demanding Special Category Status for the state was need of hour, he said and added the state BJP leaders have no guts to question the BJP government at Centre over the injustice meted out to the state.
