Collector vents ire at Housing officials
District Collector R Mutyala Raju warned that he would issue charge memos to the officials of Housing Department if they fail to work properly. The Collector visited RDO’s Office at Gudur and held review meeting with officials on Tuesday.

He expressed dissatisfaction over Housing officials for their negligent attitude in implementing PMAY scheme. Further, Collector visited Gudur town and also inspected construction of houses under NTR Housing programme.
Mutyala Raju also inspected construction of houses under PMAY at Chemidthi, Kommaneturu SC colonies in Gudur rural mandal and also in Arundathiyawada in Alimeli village in Balayapalli mandal. Speaking to the media, Collector said that they had sanctioned 1,175 houses under BLC scheme to Gudur urban area. Officials have provided possession certificates to 435 beneficiaries in the area.
``We had prepared proposals to provide 9 Ankanams of land to 111 hamalis who had applied for housing in Gudur area. They would consider requests of the SC population to provide house sites to them. Thirty seven people from Gudur area have applied seeking house sites,’’ he said.
He also instructed the officials to identify lands for the beneficiaries for distribution to the eligible. Gudur Sub Collector P Arun Babu, Project Director of the housing corporation Ramachandra Reddy, DE Niranjan Reddy, EE Amarnath Reddy, Municipal Commissioner Narendra Kumar and others were present.
