Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar Gandhi has said that the corporation collected highest amount of property tax on Saturday and stood in first place in the district. The corporation collected an amount of Rs 1.19 crore on Saturday itself.
During June, an amount of Rs 15.28 crore was collected as against of Rs 12 crore during June of last year.
The taxpayers responded positively to the appeal of the corporation and the staff of revenue wing also succeeded to collect the property tax.
He congratulated the staff to work in the same spirit in the ensuing days also.
