Rayavaram: YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy assured house sites and housing to all government employees in the State. Besides this, he also assured to scrap the contributory pension system if the YSRCP comes to power in next polls.
Addressing a largely attended public meeting at Rayavaram in Mandapeta Assembly constituency on Monday, Jagan assured respectable treatment to all government employees during service and after retirement.
Lambasting the ruling TDP, Jagan said it had failed to fulfil any of the promises made during the 2014 polls. He said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was playing gimmicks to attract voters towards him. Jagan criticised the TDP for remaining silent on the Special Category Status issue for four years.
He said the TDP lacked sincerity in setting up steel plant in Kadapa.On the issue of sand quarrying in the State, Jagan said that lakhs of tonnes of sand was being dug every day in the State. Even in Vijayawada the same was going on unabated, he remarked. On the conclusion of his Padayatra for the day, Jagan halted overnight at the mandal headquarters Rayavaram.
