Visakhapatnam: Following discussions held between the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Chief of Staff, Eastern Naval Command Rear Admiral P S Pawar on Friday night, the Indian Navy withdraw all the time restrictions on the civilian flights at Visakhapatnam airport.

The Chief Minister along with Andhra Pradesh Air Travelers Association delegates including D S Varma, O Naresh Kumar and K Kumar Raja met the naval officials and discussed the issue.

The Chief Minister informed to navy officials that the restrictions would damage the growth of Andhra Pradesh and urged to lift the restrictions. Later, Naidu announced that the Navy agreed to withdraw all the restrictions proposed from November 1, 2018 on civilian flights in various slots.

The Chief Minister said there would not be any changes in the civilian flight timings also. The APATA delegates Naresh Kumar, Varma and Kumar Raj thanked the Chief Minister for convincing the Navy officials in this regard.
