Eluru: President of Sir CRR educational institutions K Rambabu has called upon people to take up sapling plantation as their personal responsibility.
He took part in Vanam-Manam programme on the premises of Sir CRR Public School here on Thursday. The plantation programme was conducted by the NCC.
Speaking on the occasion, Rambabu said those who plant saplings should also take care of the saplings.
Correspondent of the school, Dr K Kanchanamala said that every student should plant at least one sapling. Greenery should be the motto of nature lovers.
Corporator K Bhaskara Rao said that they were taking steps to make the city green. For those visiting the city, a pleasant atmosphere with greenery everywhere should welcome, he added.
The CRR college correspondent, Ramprasad, in-charge principal M Satyavani, vice-principal Sailaja and others were present.
