Educate SC/STs on rights: Sivaji
SCST Commission Chairman Karem Shivaji has said that all the complaints relating to SCST communities will be addressed without delay and the Commission issued directions to the respective officials in this regard
Rajamahendravaram: SC/ST Commission Chairman Karem Shivaji has said that all the complaints relating to SC/ST communities will be addressed without delay and the Commission issued directions to the respective officials in this regard.
Receiving petitions from SC/STs at Roads and Buildings guest house here on Saturday, he said the Commission is very much particular about receiving complaints from all the districts and also putting its endeavour to bring awareness among SC/STs on their rights and working for their wellbeing. Sivaji said any SC/ST person can approach the Commission to lodge their grievances. The Commission is also reviewing with the officials over sorting out the petitions from time to time and taking action taken reports in the meetings from the officials.
The Commission cannot be a mere spectator, if the officials dodged to address their problems, he said. The Commission is also inspecting SC/ST hostels and schools to know the problems of students there, he added. Meanwhile, Urban SP Shemushi Bajpayee, who took charge recently, met chairman Karem Shivaji in the guest house.
