Encroachments on drains to be removed : Commissioner Sumit Kumar
The Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar inspected Addepally colony, Venkateswara Nagar, Gopalanagarpuntha, LB reservior area, Narayanapuram, and Mosque street in the 2nd division along with the corporator P Lakshmi Kumari and the officials here on Tuesday
Rajamahendravaram: The Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar inspected Addepally colony, Venkateswara Nagar, Gopalanagarpuntha, LB reservior area, Narayanapuram, and Mosque street in the 2nd division along with the corporator P Lakshmi Kumari and the officials here on Tuesday.
Later, he directed the officials to demolish all the structures constructed on drains immediately and advised the people not to encroach the drains.
He directed The officials have to address the problems in the division immediately and will have to interact with the people frequently.
The development works should be completed as per schedule with quality and there was no dearth of funds for development works.
Priority will be given for the drinking water supply, sanitation along with lighting and laying of roads etc, he said.
The commissioner also directed the engineering department officials to sanction tap connection for those who are in need.
Additional Commissioner NVV Satyananrayana Rao, the corporation health officer Dr MVR Murthi and the other officials accompanied the commissioner.
