Ongole: The unemployment allowance announced by the Andhra Pradesh government is a boon to the struggling unemployed youth in the state, said the Prakasam district Telugu Desam Party youth division, Telugu Yuvatha president Shaik Karimulla, on Friday.

He participated in the ‘Yuvathaku Varam- Mukhyamantri Yuvanestam’ an awareness programme held for the unemployed youth and party cadre at NTR Bhavan, the TDP district office in Ongole.

He said that the programme, Mukhyamantri Yuvanestam, launched by the chief minister will help about 12.26 lakh qualified unemployed youth in the state and the registration for the same will open from August third week.

He asked them to see the youth who are between 22 and 35 years of age and completed any degree or diploma to register as a beneficiary.

He added that a verification will be done with the help of Prajasadhikara Survey data and the qualified beneficiaries will get the money in their bank accounts.

He said that the Yuvanestam scheme is launched to give an allowance of Rs 1000 to the unemployed in the state, will boost up their morale and help them to meet the expenses for the employment trials.

He said that the money will help the qualified persons to focus on the exams and interviews than worrying about the expenses. He thanked Nara Lokesh for playing a major role in the design of the scheme along with the chief minister.

The TDP cadre and youth from various wings of the party celebrated the launch of the Mukhyamantri Yuvanestam, with fire crackers and cutting a cake.

They offered Ksheerabhishekam to the cutouts of the Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh as a token of thanks.

The TDP Ongole town president, Katari Nageswara Rao, secretary Dharma, Telugu Yuvatha general secretary Tanikonda Anjaneyulu, other leaders Nalluri Srinivasa Rao, Pothimsetty Durgaprasad, Meeravali, Dasari Venkateswarlu and others also participated in the programme.
